post mother's day post.
i think my mothers awesome. she knows how to make ALL kinds of things: all the baos in the world (minus i think xiao long bao), lao po bing, sesame paste, egg tarts, cakes, cny goodies, EVERYTHING. & we are the pigs who just keep eating. and you know what. she doesnt eat it, she keeps it just for us to eat.
and she cooks all those fantastic dishes every sunday, every festive season, just for the extended family and us. and she eats so little.
and she always 'bu' us with all those xue ha gao, sharks fin (for special occasions only. i dont have $$ dropping from the sky), all those super nice delicacies just for us to eat. and when we tell her to share, she says, "i eat already" although i know she secretly lied.
nowadays shes really happy. she comes home to tell us, "aye you know today my qigong teacher say i good leh. very paiseh know?" she laughs and blushes but i know shes being humble :)
she prays for us every night, and she prays for herself the last.
she's the best marketer- she satisfies her 'customers' needs & wants. just cause my sister or gramps say they have cravings for something, she will make them immediately. like those freshly baked lao po bings in the oven now. when i complain ive got a bad stomachache, she help me apply that medicated oil that i secretly like? (but i always say it's smelly & i dont want it although i know i secretly do). and when i randomly say i want mushrooms, she put them in my soup and gives me surprises. :D
i love my mamachan know? she mega awesome. & know what, when i grow up, i wld want to be like her. that sort of woman who thinks for everyone else before herself.
